DARK NEW DAY Begins Recording New Album

September 15, 2007

DARK NEW DAY/ex-SEVENDUST guitarist Clint Lowery, who has spent most of this year fulfilling his touring duties with KORN, has issued the following update:

"We [DARK NEW DAY] are officially recording the new DARK NEW DAY record. We've been here five days now. We're in the middle of pre-production which is basically Dave Bendeth [producer] bootcamp. The songs are sounding very good. It's good to be back in here after being gone soo long. I think at the end of this we're gonna come out with something that will define us as a band. We're also talking about maybe having a few guest appearances but it's still a little early for that.

"Thanks to everyone who's been patient and supportive. We really appreciate all of you and hope to see you soon."

In addition to Clint, DARK NEW DAY features Brett Hestla (ex-CREED, VIRGOS MERLOT) on vocals, Will Hunt (EVANESCENCE, ex-SKRAPE, TOMMY LEE) on drums, Clint's brother Corey Lowery (ex-STEREOMUD, STUCK MOJO) on bass, and Troy McLawhorn (EVANESCENCE, ex-DOUBLE DRIVE) on guitar.

DARK NEW DAY released its debut album, "Twelve Year Silence", in June of 2005. The disc featured the single "Brother".

Clint Lowery was arrested on July 5 at the Hodokvas Festival in Piestany, Slovakia after a "wild, drunken night" at the event, which ended with the guitarist trashing his room. Lowery was released the following afternoon from police custody after apologizing and paying for the damages.
