DARK NEW DAY Enjoying First Tour
May 5, 2005Launch Radio Networks reports: New rock "supergroup" DARK NEW DAY is currently on its first national tour, opening up for CHEVELLE, and guitarist Clint Lowery (ex-SEVENDUST) told Launch that things couldn't be going better for the band. "So far, I mean, the CHEVELLE guys, we have a little bit of history with those guys and me personally, I've known 'em for a long time, and, you know, it's a great way for us to introduce this band," he said. "You know, I think our music goes along with CHEVELLE's style as well, and I think their fans have been really supportive and, you know, our fans from the previous bands have been very cool and have come up to the shows, and I think it's a perfect blend."
DARK NEW DAY's debut album, "Twelve Year Silence", hits record stores on June 14. The first single from the disc is called "Brother".
The band was formed by Lowery and his brother, ex-STEREOMUD bassist Corey Lowery, after years of planning to work together.
The group also includes ex-SKRAPE drummer Will Hunt, former DOUBLEDRIVE axeman Troy McLawhorn and one-time CREED touring bassist Brett Hestla, who sings lead vocals in the new group.
