DARK NEW DAY Guitarist: New Album Is 'Coming Out Great'
October 15, 2007DARK NEW DAY/ex-SEVENDUST guitarist Clint Lowery, who has spent most of this year fulfilling his touring duties with KORN, has issued the following update:
"Well, it's time for another update on the new DARK NEW DAY record. It's coming out great. Troy [McLawhorn, guitar; EVANESCENCE, ex-DOUBLE DRIVE] and Corey [Clint's brother Corey Lowery, bass; ex-STEREOMUD, STUCK MOJO] finished their guitar and bass and it sounds unreal. Brett's [Hestla, vocals; ex-CREED, VIRGOS MERLOT] in the middle of doing vocals right now. He's done a few so far a damn he's singing his ass off. After he's done, we'll do backing vocals and then the mixing process will start.
"Dave Bendeth [producer] is pulling out some incredible stuff from us. I think it's gonna really turn out amazing.
"Some songtitles so far: 'Simple', 'Hail Mary', 'Fiend', 'Outside', 'Vicious Thinking'.
"Cannot wait for this to be heard by everyone. Expect that DARK NEW DAY sound but a few changes that seperate us from our old bands that we felt very necessary.
"I'm truly proud of this band and all we've been through.
"I'm still out with KORN and the shows are going great.
"Record will be out early next year."
DARK NEW DAY released its debut album, "Twelve Year Silence", in June of 2005. The disc featured the single "Brother".
Clint Lowery was arrested on July 5 at the Hodokvas Festival in Piestany, Slovakia after a "wild, drunken night" at the event, which ended with the guitarist trashing his room. Lowery was released the following afternoon from police custody after apologizing and paying for the damages.
