DARKANE Guitarist Signs Solo Deal With LISTENABLE RECORDS

February 24, 2005

DARKANE guitarist Christofer Malmström has inked a deal with France's Listenable Records for his solo project, NON-HUMAN LEVEL. "I am very much looking forward to work with them and I have really high anticipations regarding this album!" Christofer writes on his web site. "Ryan van Poederooyen (DEVIN TOWNSEND BAND) will record the drums in the beginning of March at the Greenhouse studios in Vancouver, Canada! He has been working a lot and has come up with a lot of cool and crazy drumming! After the drums are recorded I will continue to record the guitars at Not Quite Studios in Helsingborg together with bass player Gustaf Hielm (ex-MESHUGGAH) and vocalist Peter Wildoer (drummer of DARKANE). So far it looks like the album will be released after the summer. I will post more news as soon as I know them.

"DARKANE recorded a video last weekend for the new song 'Secondary Effect' on various locations in Helsingborg. There will be some additional filming of a story before the video will be edited and released around the same time the new DARKANE album 'Layers of Lies' is released, which will be June 27th. DARKANE are still recording the album but we are very close to completing it right now... something that I'm very happy about since we've been working a little too long with it (since October)."
