DARKEST HOUR Guitarist's LOCUST FACTOR Project Available For Download
May 20, 2005DARKEST HOUR guitarist Kris Norris has uploaded the entire 2002 album from his LOCUST FACTOR project at his official web site, KrisNorris.com.
According to a posting on the site, "LOCUS FACTOR started out as a Kris Norris solo project when he was 18. After years of recording on the computer he met up with long time friend Cory Smoot (guitarist for GWAR) and he wanted to try playing drums. The two starting jamming together with the material Kris had written and after some time decided to try and form a band out of it. The result is the record 'Between Saviors and Thieves', which they recorded themselves at Cory's home studio. They like to think of it as a mix of their influences such as OPETH, DARK TRANQUILLITY, DREAM THEATER, etc."
DARKEST HOUR will release their new album, "Undoing Ruin", on June 28 via Victory Records. The follow-up to 2003's "Hidden Hands of a Sadist Nation" was produced by STRAPPING YOUNG LAD mastermind Devin Townsend and features artwork by Chris Taylor of PG. 99.
