DARKWELL Split With Singer, Announce Replacement

June 2, 2003

Austrian "gothic metal" band DARKWELL, featuring ex-ABIGOR drummer Moritz Neuner, have parted ways with vocalist Alexandra P. and have replaced her with a lady presently known only as Stephanie M.

"Because of musical and personal differences, the way of Alexandra and DARKWELL has to split," the band said in an official statement. "We hope to stay still friends in the future. With Stephanie M. we already found her successor. Stephanie excellently catches the spirit of the older DARKWELL songs, but also allows us to explore our ways in the future. Stephanie will already be a part of the band at our show at the Wave Gotik Meeting in Leipzig."

DARKWELL have thus far issued one full-length album, "Suspiria" (2000),and a mini-CD, "Conflict Of Interest" (2002),through Napalm Records. A new CD is tentatively expected to surface in early 2004.
