DAVE MUSTAINE: 'I Have Never Been Prouder Of MEGADETH'

August 18, 2005

MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine has posted the following message in the "Forums" section of the band's official web site:

"As we pass the halfway point of Gigantour and the last dates are being secured for the 'Blackmail The Universe' tour for 'The System Has Failed', I am very satisfied to say that this last year has been a total success.

"Last night's concert in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania marked the 100 show of this tour. Please accept my heartfelt thanks to all of you who have come out or come back to see me and the boys. I am sure you were entertained, as I have never been prouder of MEGADETH.

"And while there are many cities left of this tour and the South American tour coming up, I am extremely excited to go back to Argentina. By George this will be the best tour of my career and finishing up in South America, especially Buenos Aires, I couldn't have planned a better way to end my career with MEGADETH; if I do end it.

"I will make every effort the rest of the dates on this tour to spend time with you, to answer emails, and to just contiue to be the Dave that you all have grown to know and count on.

"I love you all . . .

"Metal or death!"
