August 14, 2010

Video footage of Dave Mustaine (MEGADETH) and Steven Adler (ADLER'S APPETITE, ex-GUNS N' ROSES) signing copies of their recently published autobiographies on July 28, 2010 and August 3, 2010, respectively, at Chapters in Toronto, Ontario, Canada can be viewed below.

Mustaine's autobiography, "Mustaine: A Heavy Metal Memoir" (formerly "Hello Me... Meet The Real Me"),has landed at position No. 15 on the New York Times "Hardcover Nonfiction" best sellers list. The book was released in the U.S. on August 3 via HarperCollins's It Books imprint (focusing on pop culture, sports, style and content derived from the Internet). The U.K. edition, "Mustaine: A Life In Metal", will hit bookstores in the U.K. on September 30.

"Mustaine: A Heavy Metal Memoir" was co-written by New York Times journalist Joe Layden who also authored "The Last Great Fight" about what is considered by many to be the biggest upset in the history of boxing: James "Buster" Douglas' tenth-round knockout win over Mike Tyson in 1990.

In Adler's autobiography, "My Appetite for Destruction: Sex, and Drugs, and Guns N' Roses", he tells all, fearlessly addressing his struggles with heroin and crack addiction; his financial ruin after being kicked out of GN'R; his shattered marriage; and the severe health problems that nearly claimed his life on several occasions.

Steven finally appears to have beaten his epic twenty-year addiction. He has remained clean and sober for the last few months under the watchful eye of family friend Dr. Drew Pinsky.

Lawrence J. Spagnola, a Christopher Award-winning writer, worked with Steven on "My Appetite for Destruction".
