DAVE MUSTAINE Wants You To Name His New Stallion

May 29, 2007

MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine has posted the following message in the "Forums" section of the band's web site:

"As many of you may know, a few years ago I bought my first horse; a Friesian named Cassandra. You may also remember the trauma I went through when she foaled her stillborn colt, which in the end killed her too. And not that this doesn't happen — it does — it's just that this was my first horse, and this isn't normal for first-time horse owners to lose both foal and mare the first time.

"Well, thank God for insurance and a kind Dutch Septuagenarian named Bob DeBoer (a.k.a. Papa — who said he adopted me into his family of red-heads),because I was able to get a new horse named Matsje. There was one difference; Matsje was a much more valuable horse and he sold her to me for considerably less, which was the only amount the insurance covered.

"The big news is I am proud to say that Matsje has delivered a newborn colt for me. Papa bred him to his approved Stallion Ouke and while Pam [Dave's wife] didn't know about the pairing's outcome (she knows more about horses than I do),I knew it would be badass AND that it would be a colt again.

"So, here's where you come in. He has to be named, and it must be a choice starting with the letters 'w, x, y, or z.'

"I want to ask you to help me name him. It will be something like my choice of 'Z' as in Zorro der Mustaine of the Friesian Connection.

"______ der Mustaine of the Friesian Connection."
