DAVID LEE ROTH To Appear On 'Country Music Across America'

June 14, 2006

David Lee Roth will drop by this week's "Country Music Across America" to talk about his latest release, "Strummin' with the Devil: The Southern Side of Van Halen", a bluegrass tribute to his old band, VAN HALEN.

Described as "the only entertainment news show on television solely dedicated to covering the world of country music," "Country Music Across America" is scheduled to air this Thursday, June 15 at 9:00 p.m. (EDT) on GAC.

For more information, visit Roth's official web site.

"Strummin' with the Devil: The Southern Side of Van Halen" features Roth alongside the JOHN JORGENSON BLUEGRASS BAND on twangy renditions of "Jump" and "Jamie's Cryin'", as well as a special radio edit of the latter.

In the liner notes, the Indiana-born Roth explains that "my roots were always kind of country — not the same country as my first band. Their flag had windmills. Mine had BBQ pit and a shot glass."
