September 15, 2005

New Zealand-based death/grind outfit DAWN OF AZAZEL have set "Sedition" as the title of their sophomore album, tentatively due in the U.S. in October via Ibex Moon Records. You can preview the tracks "Swathed in Impurity" (mp3) and "Master of the Strumpets" (mp3) at the group's official web site. Check out the album cover art at this location.

Regarding their deal with Ibex Moon, the group write on their web site, "It's a great honor for us to be signed by the label run by one of the godfathers of death metal [referring to John McEntee of INCANTATION], and we're also happy to announce our U.S. deal includes a substantial U.S. tour which we hope to undertake in the first half of 2006. We will be shooting a video for 'The Road to Babalon' next week, and we are now looking for a European label to sign with for the release of the album in the European territories. Interested labels can contact us at [email protected]."
