DEAD BY APRIL Signs With UNIVERSAL MUSIC

December 6, 2008

DEAD BY APRIL, the Swedish "pop/metal" act featuring former members of NIGHTRAGE, BY NIGHT, EVILDOER, MINDFALL and DEATHDESTRUCTION, has inked a deal with Universal Music Sweden. The band says, "We know that a lot of [the fans] have been very anxious about us signing but we wanted to really make things right and get a label that we thought could do us and our fans justice. It is truly a great honor to be part of the world's largest record company with many of the best bands and artist on the planet!"

DEAD BY APRIL will enter the studio this coming week with producer Henrik Edenhed (ROBYN, LAMBRETTA, TEDDYBEARS, CHRISTIAN WALTZ, THE SOUNDS) to begin recording its full-length debut for an early 2009 release.

According to the group's official bio, "DEAD BY APRIL is a collaboration between some free-spirited, likeminded musicians. It has evolved from just being a project to a full-time band in a very short amount of time."
