DEADLY APPLES To Open For ANONYMUS And KATAKLYSM

December 11, 2006

Montebello, Quebec band DEADLY APPLES will open for thrash metallers ANONYMUS and death metallers KATAKLYSM on December 17 at La Boîte à Chansons in Gatineau, Quebec. This special intimate show is one of the final dates of ANONYMUS' cross-Canada tour in support of their latest album, "Chapter Chaos Begins" (Galy Records),released in October. It also marks one of KATAKLYSM's last concerts for this year before they embark on a worldwide tour in 2007 in support of their new DVD, "Live in Deutschland (The Devastation Begins)", and the re-release of their latest album, "In the Arms of Devastation" (both to be released by Nuclear Blast Records early next year).

DEADLY APPLES is a four-piece band that formed in late 2002. Their rather dark music has been described by some as "psychotic metal". After almost a year out of the spotlight, they recently got back on stage to perform their brand-new improved stage show. During their "down-time," they have written new material, experimented new equipement and basically tested the roller-coster that they had created and pushing its limits to the extreme. It was a bumpy, creative, melancholy ride filled with ups and downs. Creativity reached an exceptional level, not only combining all artistic elements — musical, visual and literary — but also including a philosophical and intellectual side to it. It led to total fulfilment. The new songs are more varied and experimental than on their 2005 debut "Metamorphosis Has Begun"; an industrial vibe is also present.

The band is currently working on its second release, which should come out next year. More information and tour dates is available on the band's official web site.
