DEADSY Frontman Working On Solo Album
April 16, 2007DEADSY drummer Alec Pure has issued the following update:
"I wanted to take a second to let you know what's been happening with me.
"Some of you know that for about the past decade along with playing drums in DEADSY I've been composing music for films, television shows and commercials. During this last round of touring for 'Phantasmagore' I was juggling both the band and scoring from the road.
"As you all know we are going to be taking a short break from DEADSY so Elijah [Blue, vocals] can make a solo record and I can continue scoring projects I wasn't able to do from the road.
"I just finished a movie called 'The Good Night' staring Gwyneth Paltrow, Penelope Cruz and Danny Devito. This film will be released sometime at the end of the year or early next year and I look forward to you all getting a chance to see it.
"DEADSY will never cease to exist, we are just taking a short break to pursue some other things we've been working on. I will definitely be playing some drums on Elijah's new record and I look forward to seeing you all in the near future.
"Thanks for your continued support, it doesn't go unnoticed."
DEADSY's second album, "Phantasmagore", came out in August on Elementree/Immortal. The band took part in last year's The Family Values Tour, along with an appearance at last summer's Lollapalooza.
