DEATH ANGEL Guitarist To Perform At 'Robb's Metalworks' 10th Anniversary Celebration

July 19, 2007

This summer, San Antonio's longest standing metal institution and STUF-TV cable show, "Robb's MetalWorks", celebrated its 10th year on the air. In lieu of this milestone, "RMW" will host a private-invitation-only party on Sunday, August 26 at the Cabo Grille in San Antonio featuring a one-off, acoustic performance by DEATH ANGEL guitarist Rob Cavestany. Rob will perform material from his upcoming solo disc, which is slated to be released later this year (second guitar support will come from DEATH ANGEL guitarist Ted Aguilar). Rob's performance at the party, coupled with an interview, will be taped for a future episode of "Robb's MetalWorks". This promises to be a special event as attendees (limited to 76) will receive commemorative shirts, koozies and giveaways throughout the night. Support will come from Paloma recording artists and San Antonio break-outs MAN OF SORROWS.

Rob Cavestany recently posted three songs from his acoustic solo project on his MySpace page. The tracks "20 Years", "Who When and Where" and "Brown Van" come off the "Acoustic Bliss" EP and can be streamed at this location.

DEATH ANGEL's latest CD, "The Art of Dying", was released in May 2004 through Nuclear Blast Records. The group's first studio album since 1990's "Act III" was recorded at SF Soundworks studios in San Francisco, California with producer Brian Joseph Dobbs (VOIVOD, MANMADEGOD).
