DEATH OF DESIRE Joined By EYES OF NOCTUM Keyboardist

July 7, 2010

German extreme metallers DEATH OF DESIRE, whose recording lineup includes MAYHEM drummer Hellhammer (a.k.a. Jan Axel Blomberg),have announced the addition of keyboardist Arcane (pictured below; EYES OF NOCTUM) to the group's ranks.

Commented DEATH OF DESIRE guitarist Morbid: "Our songs have always been very raw and in your face. We used to create dark atmospheres with keyboards to compliment the music in the past, but now that Arcane has joined the band, the music has taken yet another direction and dimension. So far the keyboards we have on some songs knock down many bands with symphonic works that we know and we are proud to say that Arcane is now the official keyboardist and synth master for the DEATH OF DESIRE family and our music is growing and evolving into a more mature state with this alliance. The music will still be very brutal and technical, but now the element of grimness and darkness has a major call in our tracks. Expect some demo previews soon."

Demo versions of the songs "Frozen" and "Into The Void" are available for streaming on the DEATH OF DESIREMySpace page. The drums on the tracks were laid down by Hellhammer, who will also appear on the band's debut album, "ANTI-human", which is scheduled for release before the end of the year. The drum tracks were recorded at Knut's (ARCTURUS) Mølla Studio in Norway. The studio is said to be an old mill from the 1700s where such acts as AURA NOIR, ARCTURUS, MAYHEM, ULVER, FLEURETY, RAGNAROK and ROTTING CHRIST have previously recorded.

01. Tainted With Death (intro)
