Santa Barbara, California's DEATHRIDE, the new project featuring COAL CHAMBER frontman Dez Fafara, have officially changed their name to DEVILDRIVER.

The band, whose sound is being described as "much heavier than [that of] COAL CHAMBER" and featuring "more technical" musicianship than that found in Fafara's main band, are currently finishing up work on their debut album, tentatively titled "Thirteen", with producer Ross Hogarth (COAL CHAMBER, MÖTLEY CRÜE, FASTER PUSSYCAT). A fall release through Roadrunner Records is expected.

DEVILDRIVER will team up with DANZIG and SUPERJOINT RITUAL for the fall 2003 installment of the "Blackest Of The Black" tour, tentatively set to kick off in early October.
