DEEP PURPLE Singer Comments On Upcoming CD

DEEP PURPLE singer Ian Gillan has commented via his official web site on the group's recently-completed new album. The as-yet-untitled effort was produced by KID ROCK producer Michael Bradford and is tentatively due on Aug. 1.

"The album is finished," Gillan wrote. "I think it sounds great, but my viewpoint is what you might call subjective. You can't compare it with anything we've done in the past, which is the whole point of doing it as we have done."
