DEEP PURPLE To Enter Studio In February
September 3, 2004According to DEEP PURPLE fan site The Highway Star, DEEP PURPLE drummer Ian Paice revealed during a recent Canadian drum clinic that the band will be returning to the studio in February 2005 to begin recording their new CD, tentatively due before the end of 2005.
DEEP PURPLE's most recent album, "Bananas", was released last year through Sanctuary Records in the U.S. and EMI Records in Europe. The CD was recorded in Los Angeles with KID ROCK producer Michael Bradford.
In other news, DEEP PURPLE guitarist Steve Morse will conduct a guitar clinic on September 11 at Tom Lee Music (City Stage, 929 Granville St.) in Vancouver, Canada. Admission is free admission and the clinic is scheduled to start at 4 p.m.
