March 31, 2002

DEEP PURPLE will be flying to Australia in April to perform a one-off show for the Australian football team The Kangaroos in Melbourne, according to Undercover News. The band will reportedly play at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne on Friday, April 26th with JIMMY BARNES, DIESEL and WARPED as support.

The upcoming show will mark the second time in a year DEEP PURPLE and The Kangaroos have gotten together. Just a few months ago, the band were presented with the club guernsey at Colonial Stadium in Melbourne.

DEEP PURPLE will fly into Australia for the one off show before commencing a Pacific Rim/Asia tour a few days later in Indonesia.
