DEF LEPPARD: '20th Century Boy' Single Going For Radio Adds
August 21, 2006According to a posting on DEF LEPPARD's official web site, the second single off the band's "Yeah!" album, "20th Century Boy", is being released today to mainstream and classic rock radio. This means that you can now call your radio station and request the follow-up to "Rock On", which reached the coveted No. 1 position on U.S. classic rock radio and stayed there for five weeks. Details on a video for the "20th Century Boy" single will be announced soon.
"Yeah!" has sold 137,000 copies in the United States since its May release, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The CD is said to be "a heartfelt and hard-rocking tribute" to DEF LEPPARD's musical heroes of the late '60s and '70s — THE KINKS, BADFINGER, T. REX, DAVID BOWIE, SWEET, ROXY MUSIC, MOTT THE HOOPLE, FREE, FACES, and THIN LIZZY.
