DEF LEPPARD Confirmed For Kansas' RED, WHITE & BOOM Festival

DEF LEPPARD have officially been confirmed as the headliner of the Red, White & Boom festival, which is scheduled to take place on June 29th in Kansas. The band will reportedly perform for an hour and may include a few new songs from the upcoming album X, according to the group's official web site. Other artists scheduled to appear at the event include TRAIN, LEANN RIMES, MICHELLE BRANCH, FIVE FOR FIGHTING, VANESSA CARLTON, INDIA.ARIE, COURSE OF NATURE, O-TOWN, TOYA, RES, A1 and others.

In other news, Eagle Vision, producers of the popular Classic Albums TV- and DVD-series, announced that the episode about the making of DEF LEPPARD's Hysteria will be released on DVD on May 20th in Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Italy, Belgium, Luxemburg, Holland and Eastern Europe. TV broadcasting rights have been sold to Holland and Luxemburg (RTL/Yorin),Australia (SBS),France (Canal Jimmy) and Canada (Much Music),but some stations will not broadcast until they have two or three more episodes of the Classic Albums series. A broadcasting deal for the US is still pending. No broadcast dates/times have been announced at this time.

Classic Albums: Hysteria is a 100-minute show, focusing on the making of DEF LEPPARD's most successful album to date. It contains interviews with the band and other people involved with the album, song excerpts, and many technical details laid out. Although it is a fully licensed product, please note that Universal Records, DEF LEPPARD's record company, is not involved with the release of the show. Hence, the band, Universal, and the group's management, Q-Prime, have no influence on its availability or broadcast times.
