This summer's DEF LEPPARD tour is causing the band to make some schedule adjustments. They started writing material for a new album while on the road last summer, and guitarist Phil Collen told Launch they have to put that project aside for a bit, in order to get ready for the tour. "We're actually recording, we're actually doing a new album in Dublin, so we're gonna have to take a break from the, the record — it's a bit weird, 'cause our producer is also our out-front live (sound) guy — so we pack up, fly out to L.A. initially, rehearse there, and then kick off in Ohio," he said.
DEF LEPPARD is going out this year with STYX and FOREIGNER. The tour starts June 27 in Cincinnati.
The working title for the album is "Sparkle Lounge", but that could change.
