DEF LEPPARD's COLLEN To Guest On 'That Metal Show'; CAMPBELL To Play Final SIR SODOFF Gig

September 24, 2010

DEF LEPPARD guitarist Phil Collen will tape a segment for VH1 Classic's "That Metal Show" in the Los Angeles area. The episode featuring Collen will be broadcast as part of the program's sixth season on VH1 Classic.

Hosted by Eddie Trunk, Don Jamieson, and Jim Florentine, "That Metal Show" is a round-table talk show where rock legends hang out and discuss their past and current projects, while interacting with metal fans that make up the studio audience.

In other DEF LEPPARD-related news, this Saturday will be your last chance to catch guitarist Vivian Campbell's hobby project SIR SODOFF AND THE TRAIN WRECKS when they play their last show (for a while) at Baked Potato (3787 Cahuenga Blvd. West) in Studio City, California.

SIR SODOFF AND THE TRAIN WRECKS is a five-piece band consisting of Vivian (vocals and guitar),Glen Sobel (drums),Lou Castro (bass),Michael Fell (harp) and Kara Grainger (guitar and vocals). The band plays songs by THIN LIZZY, HORSLIPS, FREE, RORY GALLAGHER, some Peter Green-era FLEETWOOD MAC, plenty of other blues-type music, and, of course, a number of tracks from Vivian's 2005 solo album, "Two Sides Of If".
