DEFEATED SANITY Parts Ways With Guitarist

July 8, 2008

German death metallers DEFEATED SANITY have parted ways with guitarist Wolfgang Teske. His statement reads as follows:

"It was the greatest pleasure to share this time with all you metalheads and I will never forget all the experiences and of course this fantastic music that we and all those other great bands are/were/will be coming up with. However, I am no longer able to play the DEFEATED SANITY songs as I think they should be played like my brother Christian! God bless him and all of you, whoever you are!"

Drummer Lille Gruber added: "DEFEATED SANITY and I wish Wolfgang the best and we will always feel open for anything he will suggest for our band! Keep sending us those sick ideas for lyrics you have and keep telling us if there’s bullshit in our riffs/arrangements, a tempo that you think should be changed, or the guitar sound needs to be more massive! You will always be a part of DS, no matter what! My deepest admiration goes to your musical and overall wisdom and skill! Keep it brutal!"

DEFEATED SANITY's sophomore album, "Psalms of the Moribund", was recorded at Soundlodge Studios in Rhauderfehn, Germany by Jörg Uken and was mastered by Robbe K of DISAVOWED. It was released in March 2007 via U.K. label Grindethic Records.
