DEFTONES Films 'Hole In The Earth' Video
September 12, 2006DEFTONES reportedly shot a video for its new single, "Hole in the Earth", in New York with director Brian Lazzaro (COHEED AND CAMBRIA, MEST). The clip is expected to begin airing late September/early October.

The group began working on the follow-up to the group's self-titled 2003 effort with producer Dan "The Automator" Nakamura, before switching to Bob Ezrin and finally finishing with Terry Date, who's been the DEFTONES' regular producer since their debut, and Shaun Lopez (THE REVOLUTION SMILE, ex-FAR) .
DEFTONES guitarist Stephen Carpenter told Billboard.com that the group wasn't sweating the long wait for the new CD.
"There was no specific timetable at all," Carpenter told Billboard.com. "We know how we work. We figure we do it at our own pace — sometimes fast, sometimes slow. It's definitely been slow as of late, but our agenda is no agenda, if that makes any sense. [We're] just having a good time."
But Carpenter acknowledged that making "Saturday Night Wrist" was arduous and involved "working with different people in different places and dealing with forces of the unknown."
Vocalist Chino Moreno recorded an album and toured with his other band, TEAM SLEEP, while the DEFTONES were making the new CD.
The DEFTONES are currently on the Family Values tour with KORN, STONE SOUR, 10 YEARS and others.
