DEFTONES Frontman Launches Skater Socks Line

February 4, 2008

DEFTONES/TEAM SLEEP frontman Chino Moreno has launched his very own clothing company called ChinoSox.

Chino has always rocked skater socks live. Since DEFTONES early days, they've been a staple of his larger than life stage presence.

Commented Chino, "Every time I'm on tour, people come up to me and ask me about the socks I wear onstage. No one can ever seem to find dope looking skater socks. So I thought it would be cool to make my own signature line of skate socks, so that fans could pick them up. They're pretty sick!"

The socks are available for purchase online exclusively through the ChinoSoxweb site. Right now they're available in two different packs. The first is a three-pack of 22-inch striped skate socks with Chino's name inscribed inside. Those run for $18 plus shipping and handling. There's also a five-pack of socks that includes a limited-edition pair: the red, white and blue socks that Chino's made famous on stage. The five-pack is $25 plus shipping and handling. You have to buy the five-pack to get Chino's signature stage socks, though.
