DEFTONES Singer Suffers Groin Injury

July 29, 2003

The DEFTONES were forced to drop off the bill for Sunday's Summer Sanitarium show at the Metrodome in Minneapolis due to a groin pull suffered by singer Chino Moreno at a Saturday show in Chicago, according to MTV.com. Moreno will spend the next few days resting so that he can return to the stage on Friday when the Summer Sanitarium Tour hits Invesco Field in Denver.

Although Moreno suffered the injury on Saturday, he didn't realize the extent of it until Sunday, thus resulting in the Minneapolis show's cancellation. The group are expected to perform their previously announced club dates in Rapid City, South Dakota, at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center on Tuesday (July 29) and the Shrine Auditorium in Billings, Montana, on Wednesday (July 30).

DEFTONES have tentatively set "Bloody Cape" as the next single and video from their recently released self-titled album.
