DEFTONES To Tour With DEADSY In The Fall

September 19, 2006

DEFTONES will embark on a headlining tour in the fall, with DEADSY supporting. So far, the following dates have been announced:

Oct. 29 - Tempe, AZ - Marquee Theatre
Nov. 02 - Seattle, WA - The Fenix
Nov. 04 - Chico, CA - Senator Theater
Nov. 07 - Ventura, CA - Majestic Ventura Theatre
Nov. 12 - San Diego, CA - Soma
Nov. 13 - Tucson, AZ - Rialto Theater
Nov. 14 - Albuquerque, NM - Sunshine Theatre

DEFTONES will finally release their new album, "Saturday Night Wrist", on October 31 after a nearly three-year struggle to get the CD finished.

The first single from "Saturday Night Wrist" is called "Hole In The Earth".

Drummer Abe Cunningham told AOL Music that the recording of the band's fifth album "was not fun at all, and not pleasant. It was horrendous. It made me very sad." He added, "We weren't communicating...we didn't like each other."

The group began work on the disc with veteran producer Bob Ezrin, but that relationship did not pan out. Tensions also flared within the band when singer Chino Moreno took time off to focus on his side project, TEAM SLEEP.

The DEFTONES are currently on the Family Values tour with KORN, 10 YEARS, STONE SOUR and others, which stops tonight (Tuesday, September 19) in Tampa, Florida.
