DEGRADEAD Members Discuss New Album Recording Process; Video Available

November 25, 2008

Stockholm, Sweden-based melodic death metallers DEGRADEAD recently entered Abyss Studio (owned by HYPOCRISY/PAIN's Peter Tägtgren) with producer Jonas Kjellgren (SCAR SYMMETRY) to begin recording their new album for a 2009 release via Dockyard 1 Records. The CD will be mixed and mastered at Dug Out Productions (IN FLAMES, ENGEL) in Uppsala, Sweden.

An interview with the DEGRADEAD members about the new album recording process can be viewed below.

DEGRADEAD will play a special Christmas show on Thursday December 18 at Tantogården in Stockholm. There will be some surprises and a couple of support bands.

DEGRADEAD's debut album, "Till Death Do Us Apart", which was released in January on Dockyard 1 Records, was recorded at IN FLAMES' IF Studios in Gothenburg, Sweden and was produced by a team calling itself H.O.R.D.E — with IN FLAMES' Björn Gelotte mixing and engineering the CD while Jesper Strömblad and Daniel Svensson co-engineered the effort. According to a press release, the result is "a piece of finest melodic death metal — finding the perfect balance between death, thrash and catchy melodies, with their already very own signature."

Check out audio samples on the band's MySpace page.

DEGRADEAD is:

Mikael Sehlin - Vocals
Anders Nyström - Guitar
David Szücs - Guitar
Michel Bärzén - Bass Guitar
Kenneth Helgesson – Drums
