DEICIDE Guitarist SANTOLLA Announces Solo Dates In Ecuador, Colombia

September 4, 2006

DEICIDE guitarist Ralph Santolla (ex-ICED EARTH, DEATH) has posted the following message on his MySpace page:

"I'll be playing a show of my own in Quito, Ecuador November 25, and another in Colombia [date to be announced] but [it will take place] soon after [the Quito show]. I'll also be giving a seminar at some music academy in Quito on the 23-24th, 'cause I'm all educated and stuff. I'll be playing songs from my next [instrumental] CD, 'Requiem for Hope', and some from 'Shaolin Monks'. Plus a few Gary Moore, Jeff Beck and Schenker covers for fun."

Santolla previously stated about the upcoming CD, "It will be a LOT different than 'Shaolin Monks in the Temple of Metal', and will include an orchestral version of 'Aida's Song'.

"My guitar playing has improved so much since 'Shaolin Monks in the Temple of Metal' that it's like night and day."

DEICIDE's brand new brutal offering, "The Stench of Redemption", was released last month via Earache Records. The follow-up to 2004's "Scars of the Crucifix" was recorded at Morrisound in Tampa, Florida and marks the first recording with the new DEICIDE lineup following the departure of the Hoffman brothers. Joining frontman Glen Benton and drummer Steve Asheim in the new formation are guitarists Santolla and Jack Owen (ex-CANNIBAL CORPSE).
