DELAIN: 'Giel' Performance Posted Online

DELAIN — the Dutch gothic rock project founded by ex-WITHIN TEMPTATION keyboardist Martijn Westerholt (brother of WITHIN TEMPTATION's Robert Westerholt) — performed live on Giel Beelen's radio show "Giel" on the Dutch channel 3FM last Friday (August 10). The group played its new single, "See Me in Shadow". Listen to the interview (in Dutch) and performance at this location.

The "See Me in Shadow" single was released in the Netherlands on July 23. In addition to the title cut, the single includes three special acoustic versions. The song's official video, which was was shot on May 8 "in a very special country cottage in Brabant, Holland," can be viewed below. "See Me in Shadow" is the second single from DELAIN's debut album, "Lucidity", which came out last year.

"Lucidity" has sold more than 6,000 copies in Holland. In addition to Martijn Westerholt and Charlotte Wessels (vocals),the CD features guest appearances by the following musicians:

"Lucidity" contains some interesting duets: Liv Kristine sings with Marco Hietala on "Day For Ghosts" and with Charlotte on "See Me In Shadow". Sharon den Adel's distinctive voice is a great counterpart to Marco's intense vocals on "No Compliance", whereas the heavy grunts of George Oosthoek combine very well with Charlotte's peaceful voice on a number of other tracks.

DELAIN recently parted ways with guitarist Ray van Lente.
