DEMIRICOUS Added To SLAYER/UNEARTH Show In Indianapolis

December 6, 2006

Indianapolis-based death/thrash metal band DEMIRICOUS will support SLAYER/UNEARTH in its hometown at the Egyptian Room on February 5, 2007.

As previously reported, DEMIRICOUS has been added to the CHIMAIRA-headlined "Chimaira Christmas 7" event on Wednesday, December 27 at the House of Blues in Cleveland, Ohio. Tickets are available now via Ticketmaster.

DEMIRICOUS recently announced the addition of drummer Dustin Boltjes to the group's ranks. "Boltjes is the former drummer of THE DREAM IS DEAD, and is a longtime friend of DEMIRICOUS," reads a posting on the group's web site. "Upon completing a string of dates with the guys on a recent HIMSA tour, they made their final decision and are back to being a four-member band. Without wasting any time at all, the band has already begun writing new material for their second album release with Metal Blade Records."

DEMIRICOUS is tentatively scheduled to enter the studio February 15, 2007 to begin recording its new album for a summer 2007 release. The band's debut CD, "One (Hellbound)", was released in January via Metal Blade Records. The album was recorded in June 2005 at Planet Z studios with producer Zeuss (HATEBREED, SHADOWS FALL).

DEMIRICOUS's video for the song "To Serve is to Destroy" can be viewed online at YouTube.com.
