DEMONICAL Issues Vocalist Update

March 18, 2008

DEMONICAL, the new Swedish death metal band featuring past and present members from CENTINEX, GRAVE, REGURGITATE, INTERMENT, AMARAN, WORLD BELOW and DELLAMORTE, recently parted ways with vocalist Ludvig Engellau due to "musical and personal reasons."

The group has since issued the following update: "We still haven't decided who will be the new permanent vocalist in DEMONICAL and as there is no hurry really, we will not take any rash decision either.

"As stated earlier we had a guy named Widda with us on the tour in Finland. For the Metalmania festival in Poland we tried something different and gave Lisa (yep, that's a female) the opportunity to front the band. Both were great and did excellent jobs so big hails to them!!

"Lisa will do the show with us in Stockholm as well (April 4th) and then we'll see what happens...

"So basically, that's how the situation is for now... Won't say anything else than STAY ALERT!!

In other news, DEMONICAL has been confirmed for the 10th edition of the legendary Obscene Extreme festival, set to take place July 10-12 in Trutnov, Czech Republic.

Upcoming DEMONICAL shows:

Apr. 04 - SWE - Stockholm - Tantogrden
May 09 - SWE - Vsters - Taj Mahal
Jul. 10 - CZE - Trutnov - Obscene Extreme Festival
Jul. 18 - GER - Pssneck - Hells Pleasure Festival
Sep. 12 - GER - Krugsdorf bei Pasewalk - Tunes of Death Festival

The band's debut album, "Servants of the Unlight", was released in April 2007 via Germany's Cyclone Empire Records. The group toured Europe with NUNSLAUGHTER and NOMINON, and took part in Germany's Up From The Ground festival. They also supported GRAVE on select Scandinavian dates.
