DEMONICAL To Enter Studio Next Week

January 8, 2007

Bassist Martin Schulman of DEMONICAL, the new Swedish death metal band featuring three former members of CENTINEX, has issued the following update:

"We will enter Black Lounge Studios — together with producer/engineerer Jonas Kjellgren (SCAR SYMMETRY, ex-CENTINEX, ex-CARNAL FORGE) — on Thursday, January 18th and start the drum recordings for our debut full-length. This should take just a few days as Ronnie is a fast fucker..!!

"On January 28th we will switch over to Necromorbus Studios in Stockholm and with the help of Sverker 'Widda' Widgren blast down the rest (guitars, bass and vocals). The mixing and mastering will also take place within those walls.

"By mid-February 'Servants of the Unlight' should be ready. As it seems now we will record eight own tracks + one cover track of an old legendary band. Which band? Not gonna reveal that yet… However, I can tell you that the original version is a true masterpiece but our version will, of course, be even more desecrating… ;=)

"We haven't really nailed which tracks will appear on the album or the right running order. But here are the titles for our own blasphemies:

01. End it All
02. Revel in Misanthropia
03. Burned Alive
04. Unholy Desecration
05. Crippling Disease Called Life
06. Feeding the Armageddon
07. United by Torture
08. Leipzig 1945 (Pt II: Triumphant Eternal)

"We will try to post somekind of studio reports in order to keep you updated. Perhaps not every day — that will be too complicated especially during the Necromorbus session as the studio is located in the darkest and most miserable suburb of the Swedish capital — but at least a few times during our stay. If everything goes well we might as well unleash some photos and videofotage from that dark abyss…!?"

"Servants of the Unlight" is tentatively scheduled for release in April via Germany's Cyclone Empire Records.

DEMONICAL will take part in two Europan tours next spring/summer. First, they will tour central Europe (mostly Germany) during April and May as the support act for DERANGED and MASTER. The second trip will run through Sweden, Denmark and Germany in July and will feature DEMONICAL as the opening act for U.S. cult band NUNSLAUGHTER. Exact cities and dates will be announced soon.

DEMONICAL lineup:

Martin Schulman (ex-CENTINEX) – Bass
Johan Jansson (ex-CENTINEX, DELLAMORTE) – Guitar (+ vocals on the promo)
Ronnie Bergerståhl (ex-CENTINEX, AMARAN, JULIE LAUGHS NO MORE) - Drums
Ludde Engellau (REMASCULATE) - Vocals
