DESPISED ICON: Another New Song Available For Streaming

August 20, 2009

A new DESPISED ICON track, "Day Of Mourning", is available for streaming on the band's MySpace page. The song is the title cut of the Montreal extreme metallers' new album, "Day Of Mourning", which is scheduled for release on September 22 via Century Media Records. The CD was produced by Yannick St-Amand, while the mixing duties were handled by Chris "Zeuss" Harris (HATEBREED, THE ACACIA STRAIN, WHITECHAPEL) in Massachusetts. The whole thing was mastered by Alan Douches (MASTODON, THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN, NILE).

DESPISED ICON recently filmed a video for the song "Day Of Mourning". Check out pictures from the video shoot at this location.

Metal Mark of SkullsNBones.com conducted an interview with DESPISED ICON bassist Max Lavelle on August 6, 2009 at the Atlanta, Georgia stop of this year's Thrash And Burn tour. Watch the four-minute chat below.

DESPISED ICON earlier in the year released a DVD entitled "Montreal Assault Live". The disc features a "stellar" multi-camera shoot from the band's sold-out hometown show, alongside a new hour-long documentary and all of the band's promotional video clips.
