DESTINY To Enter Studio This Week

On September 21, long-running Swedish metallers DESTINY — who are celebrating their 25th anniversary this year — will enter the studio to record the band's seventh album. The production will be handled by Ken Olsson who also was involved with the group's debut, "Beyond All Sense" (1985) and "Nothing Left To Fear" (1991). The CD will feature a total of nine brand new songs which "more than ever before capture the band's self-described style of 'Mörkrock' (dark rock)," according to a press release.

So far only the music is composed and ready to be recorded. The band will not complete the lyrics and melody lines until a new vocalist is recruited.

According to the group, quite a few promising vocalists have tried out for the position. The final auditions will take place when all everything the vocals for the new album has been recorded.

Commented main songwriter Stefan Björnshög: "We will be very careful to choose a vocalist with a strong voice that suits the new music well. It will also be of great importance the he will have a good personality that works well with the rest of the band."
