DESTRUCTION/HEADHUNTER Frontman Interviewed; Audio Available

May 26, 2008

Anthony Chowanec of All Metal Music conducted an interview with DESTRUCTION/HEADHUNTER frontman Marcel "Schmier" Schirmer earlier today (Monday, May 26). Listen to the 10-minute chat below.

DESTRUCTION entered Hansen Studios in Ribe, Denmark on April 21 with producer Jacob Hansen to begin recording its new album, "D.E.V.O.L.U.T.I.O.N." An August 29 European release is expected.

UFO guitarist Vinnie Moore has contributed a few solos to the title track of "D.E.V.O.L.U.T.I.O.N."

HEADHUNTER has posted the title track of its forthcoming album, "Parasite of Society", on the group's MySpace page.

Due in the U.S. on June 10 via Candlelight Records, "Parasite of Society" was mixed by Achim Khler in Stuttgart, Germany.

Schmier previously stated about the album, "This record really made my day in difficult times and goes back to the roots of metal. My roots of music. I'm fuckin' honored that I had the chance again to play with my mates, Schmuddel [guitar] and Jrg [former STRATOVARIUS drummer Jrg Michael], after all those years."
