DESTRUCTION's Booking Agent Defends Band's Decision To Cancel South American Tour Dates
April 27, 2006DESTRUCTION's booking agent, Jörg "Schrörg" Düsedau of Dragon Productions, has issued the following statement regarding the band's decision to call off the last few gigs of their South American tour:
"Due the complications with equipment, transportation and health, we were forced to stop the Latin American tour after the sold-out show in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Breach of contract on many levels did not allow the band a professional performance. Although a safe travel for crew and musicians was not guaranteed anymore. As a matter of fact, Dragon Production and DESTRUCTION had no other [choice] than to cancel the last three shows in Cordoba, Rosario (Argentina) and Asuncion (Paraguay).
"The band is more than unhappy about this situation but the safety of our artist and the quality of their performance has first priority.
"We thank all partners for their great work and a very succesful Latin American Tour 2006."
The South American management company/record label 4G Shows, who were responsible for organizing DESTRUCTION's aborted dates in Argentina, had previously sent a statement to BLABBERMOUTH.NET insisting that the touring conditions for DESTRUCTION were more than adequate and that there was "no logical reason" behind DESTRUCTION's decision to cancel the Argentine shows.
