DESTRUCTION: 'Serious Injury' May Force Cancellation Of METAL FOREVER FESTIVAL Appearance

January 30, 2005

According to a posting on the group's official web site, German thrashers DESTRUCTION's previously announced appearance at the Metal Forever Festival "is on hold because one of the band members got seriously injured!" No further details are currently available.

The Metal Forever Festival is scheduled to take place on February 19 at the Sporthalle in Böblingen, Germany. Among the scheduled performers at the tsunami relief benefit concert are SAXON, PRIMAL FEAR, HOLY MOSES, DOMAIN, CHINCHILLA and REBELLION.

U.D.O., the German band led by former ACCEPT frontman Udo Dirkschneider, announced yesterday that they cancelled their participation in the Metal Forever Festival due to the recent passing of their record label founder, AFM Records head honcho Andreas "Henner" Allendörfer.
