DESTRUCTION: South American Tour Postponed To Early 2006

September 29, 2005

German thrashers DESTRUCTION will return to South America in early 2006 for a more extensive tour following a one-off appearance at the Live 'N' Louder Rock Fest on October 15 at Gigantinho in Porto Alegre, Brazil. Also scheduled to appear at the event are SCORPIONS, NIGHTWISH, SHAAMAN, RAGE, THE 69 EYES and TOCATTA MAGNA.

Commented DESTRUCTION bassist/vocalist Marcel "Schmier" Schirmer in a statement: "Too bad our South American tour had to be postponed to early 2006. It wasn't our fault and we are really sad about that! But on the other hand, we had the chance to jump in and do the Porto Alegre show because our friends from TESTAMENT can't do it! I know the thrashers in Sao Paulo and other cities are kind of disappointed, but hey, we'll return for a real tour soon! We know that South America has the best metal fans in the world and we are more than hot to return as soon as possible! Friends, we'll bring you a hell of a show very, very soon!"

DESTRUCTION's latest CD, "Inventor of Evil", is available now in Europe on AFM Records. The CD will receive a North American release on October 25 via Candlelight Records.

DESTRUCTION recorded "Inventor of Evil" with producer Peter Tätgtren (HYPOCRISY, PAIN),V.O. Pulver (GURD) and their live engineer Franky Winkelmann at studios in Germany and Switzerland. The mix was done by Tätgtren at the Abyss Studios in Sweden.
