DESTRUCTION: U.K. Tour Postponed
August 18, 2006Veteran German thrashers DESTRUCTION have been forced to postpone their U.K. tour due to "difficulties with some venues," according to a posting on the group's official web site. Astatement of the British promoter, Pan Satyrcos, reads as follows:
"Some of the venues (those run by the Academy Music Group) brought the financial terms of the shows into dispute at the last second. In order to protect the financial interest of the band and avoid a loss that would have been the logical consequence of these lowered fees, we felt it best to cancel this tour in September. A lot of work and planning had gone into this, and we are very sorry and apologise to all who bought their tickets in advance, and those coming down on the day. Hopefully, these shows will be rescheduled for early 2007 at different locations."
DESTRUCTION is continuing to tour in support of its latest CD, "Inventor of Evil", which is available in Europe on AFM Records and in North America on Candlelight Records.
