DETHKLOK's BRENDON SMALL Interviewed

December 7, 2009

Full Metal Jackie of Rock On Altitude conducted an interview with Brendon Small, co-creator of "Metalocalypse", the smash hit animated series on Adult Swim featuring the fictitious metal band DETHKLOK on November 19, 2009 at the Palladium in Hollywood, California. Watch the chat below.

Alfred Music Publishing, a leading provider of high-quality music products since 1922, has partnered with Cartoon Network Enterprises, the licensing and merchandising arm of Cartoon Network and Adult Swim, to present the album-matching authentic guitar TAB songbook of the sophomore album from the stars of "Metalocalypse", "Dethklok: The Dethalbum II", to fans everywhere.

Created by Small, the "Metalocalypse" television series launched on Adult Swim in 2006 and the series' third season recently debuted on Adult Swim. One of the most popular series on the cable network, "Metalocalypse" portrays DETHKLOK as a band with unheard-of popularity, even ranking them as the seventh-largest economy on earth. The band released its first album, "The Dethalbum", in 2007, which debuted at No. 21 on the Billboard 200 and went on to sell more than 300,000 units to date. The album-matching songbook went on to be among the bestselling album-matching songbooks of the year. Topping the first week success of "The Dethalbum", the heavy metal juggernauts have again exploded onto The Billboard 200 with the release of "Dethklok: The Dethalbum II", which debuted at No. 15 and sold nearly 45,000 copies in its first week.

Alfred's album-matching folio features all 12 tracks in authentic guitar TAB transcriptions — all approved by the show's guitarist, composer, and creator, Small.

"Dethklok: The Dethalbum II" guitar TAB songbook is currently available at local music retail stores, as well as online at alfred.com, with a list price of $22.95.
