DETONATION Putting Finishing Touches On New Album Recordings

November 17, 2009

Dutch death/thrash metal act DETONATION entered the studio in August to begin recording the follow-up to 2007's "Emission Phase". Vocalist Koen Romeijn states, "Last Sunday [November 15] I finished recording all the vocals. It took a little longer than planned, but the result is very satisfying I must say. It's definitely another step forward after my vocal performance on 'Emission Phase', and a slightly more agressive tone, which suits the new/more brutal direction we are heading with DETONATION.

He adds, "So we're pretty much finished with the recordings (except for one or two guitar leads). That means Harry Van Breda will start the mixing soon. Can't wait to hear it! Expect some samples to arrive in the not-too-far distance."

Songtitles set to appear on the new CD include "Feeding On The Madness", "Ruptured", "Insults To My Heritage" and "The Thirst To Slaughter"."

Video footage of DETONATION's March 7, 2009 performance at the Music Against Cancer concert at Hedon in Zwolle, Holland can be viewed below (clip uploaded by "ErhanLiveMetal").

"Emission Phase" was released on April 30, 2007. The CD was recorded with Split Second Sound's Jochem Jacobs (also guitar player for TEXTURES) and Bouke Visser. The cover artwork was created by Eliran Kantor.

"Emission Phase" was DETONATION's third and final album for French underground label Osmose Productions.
