DETONATION:'Washing Away The Blood' Video Released

April 18, 2011

"Washing Away The Blood", the new video from the Dutch death/thrash metal act DETONATION, can be viewed below. The song comes off the band's fourth album, "Reprisal", which is available via the group's official web site.

Commented DETONATION: "'Reprisal' will initially not be released by any record company. We've been in contact with several interested parties, but as of yet no substantial deal came out of it. We've had so many questions of people asking when the new album would come out that we decided not to wait any longer and release 'Reprisal' ourselves at first. In time, the CD will become available through all the digital portals, but for now it is available exclusively via our web site, and at our live shows."

"Reprisal" track listing:

01. Enslavement
02. No Turning Back
03. Feeding On The Madness
04. Ruptured
05. Absentia Mentis
06. Washing Away The Blood
07. Falling Prey
08. Insults To My Heritage

The "Reprisal" cover artwork was created by Eliran Kantor and can be viewed below.

DETONATION recently parted ways with Danny Tunker (guitar),Michiel van der Plicht (drums) and Otto Schimmelpenninck (bass). The band has since announced the addition of drummer Allard van der Kuip and bassist Harry van Breda.

DETONATION's previous album, "Emission Phase", was released on April 30, 2007. The CD was recorded with Split Second Sound's Jochem Jacobs (also guitar player for TEXTURES) and Bouke Visser. The cover artwork was created by Eliran Kantor.

"Emission Phase" was DETONATION's third and final album for French underground label Osmose Productions.
