DEVILDRIVER To Be Joined By PAT LACHMAN For Mexican Shows

Santa Barbara, California's DEVILDRIVER is headed to Mexico to play two shows on December 11 and 13. The band is having Pat Lachman (DAMAGEPLAN, HALFORD) fill in for bassist John Miller, who is having eye surgery.

DEVILDRIVER drummer John Boecklin sat out the band's appearance at the one-day Ozzfest in early August due to the fact that he was getting married the next day. Filling in for Boecklin at Ozzfest was DAATH's Kevin Talley, who has previously recorded and/or toured with DYING FETUS, CHIMAIRA, THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, THE RED CHORD, HATE ETERNAL, M.O.D., MISERY INDEX and SUFFOCATION.

DEVILDRIVER's current studio album, "The Last Kind Words", sold a little more than 14,000 copies during its first week of release to debut at No. 48 on The Billboard 200 chart. This figure represented around a 40 percent increase over the opening-week number of 2005's "The Fury of Our Maker's Hand", which premiered at No. 177 with sales of 10,400.
