DEVILDRIVER To Open For DANZIG In Europe

September 16, 2003

DEVILDRIVER frontman Dez Fafara (ex-COAL CHAMBER) has confirmed in an online posting that Glenn Danzig "himself has offered [DEVILDRIVER] the European dates" on the upcoming "Blackest Of The Black" tour.

Although the official "Blackest Of The Black" web site indicates that the European trek will consist of a sole London date, it now appears that the tour may get expanded to include additional shows in other countries.

The North American installment of the "Blackest Of The Black" tour, which will include DANZIG, SUPERJOINT RITUAL, MORBID ANGEL and DEVILDRIVER, will kick off in on October 23 in Texas.

In other news, Fafara has posted the following message to DEVILDRIVER's web site:

"I'd like to thank all of you for your responses to the songs that we posted online. Believe me, there are 10 more tracks that will rip your head off. DEVILDRIVER will not let you down with this album.

"Over the last 3 weeks, my phone has been ringing off the hook with friends and band members around the industry giving DEVILDRIVER the thumbs up and the go ahead to bring on the onslaught. Much respect to all those who have called me over this time, showing me where their heart is. If I could only share with all of you the messages I've been getting...makes me wanna run forward at break-neck speed."

DEVILDRIVER's self-titled debut is due on October 28 through Roadrunner Records.
