DEW-SCENTED To Begin Recording New Album In January

November 27, 2004

German thrashers DEW-SCENTED have issued the following update on their recent and upcoming activities:

"We would like to use this opportunity to again thank Marc Andree 'Mücke' Dieken from german death metal kings OBSCENITY for helping us out on drums for all shows we have played since the summer. We didn't really make it public so far and we have seen some Internet rumours about this already (oh well, it happens...haha),but in fact Marc was kind enough to step in for Uwe while he was taking care of his university duties lately. Needless to say, he did a killer job...Thanks again, bro!

"What else is new? Oh yeah, we won't be doing shows for a couple of months now because we are working hard on the last songs for our new album! We have visited Mr. Andy Classen at Stage One Studio (who already helped us with amazing sound quality on 'Inwards' and 'Impact') some days ago for the first bits of pre- production and we will be returning to his unholy halls between late January and late February 2005 to record the still untitled next album. A worldwide release via Nuclear Blast Records is expected for May, so watch out! We have some 12 songs done so far and another 3-4 are to follow...no titles available yet (too early...) but the material is coming along really diverse and obviously heavy as well! Our friend Björn from Killustrations will be taking care of the artwork again (as on 'Impact') and we will make sure to keep you updated some more when we have something useful to share with you!

"Of course, we have already lined up some next shows for the time after we are done with recordings." See all currently confirmed tour dates at this location.

"We will be adding some more shows with Swedish old-school-death metal masters GRAVE in April (most probably in Holland) and of course we are already looking out for a full European tour to take place shortly after the release of the new album as well as several summer festivals, but we will give you notice soon when all details come in! If you feel like offering us some more shows, then get in touch NOW, as our schedule is already filling up mercilessly, haha!"
