DIAMOND PLATE Signs Worldwide Deal With EARACHE RECORDS

October 5, 2010

Chicago, Illinois-based thrashers DIAMOND PLATE have inked a worldwide deal with Earache Records. The band's full-length debut will be released in 2011.

Formed in 2008, DIAMOND PLATE is a "three-piece high-energy act" which "encapsulates the spirit of the 'Big Four' and has already earned high honors from respected outlets such as Terrorizer magazine, who named DIAMOND PLATE as one of the best unsigned bands in the very year that the band first got together," according to a press release.

Currently in their late teens, guitarist Konrad Kuplec, drummer Jim Nicademus and vocalist/bassist Jon Macak have played with some of the world's biggest metal acts. They have also have earned a reputation as an absolutely raucous live act. Despite all of the great praise in high places, DIAMOND PLATE feels its fans are the most important key to its early success. As Kuplec puts it, "The BEST praise we can get is having a kid seeing us at one of our shows for the first time and then coming over to our merch table and buying a shirt or CD. It's the most humbling and coolest feeling in the world. I'll always be grateful for the support our fans give us."
