Dimebag Hardware: Bringing DIMEBAG's Fashion Vision To Life

November 18, 2008

Dimebag Hardware has announced the launch of DimebagHardware.com. This online store promises to bring "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott's fashion vision to life. These clothes are made for those who play from the stage, rage from the pit, or rock in their living rooms!

Dimebag Hardware's mission: "Since Dime's vision in early 2004, our goal here at Dimebag Hardware has been to blend heavy metal and clothing with an aesthetic that truly speaks and captures his essence. When Dime started realizing how hard it was to find clothes that he liked to wear, were comfortable, but also didn't belong to the pop or hip hop world, he found that his style of clothing had become almost obsolete! It was becoming impossible to find camo anywhere, let alone a pair of canvas shorts that didn't 'make my legs look like match sticks coming out of the bottom!' He decided, 'I'll just make my own! Let's let the rocker take care of the rockers for a change!' He sat down and went to work sketching out his ideas and making notes on his 'likes' and 'dislikes' about his own clothing and what he wanted to change. These drawings are compiled on various canvas… from bar and airplane napkins to hotel note pads, anything he could get his hands on when an idea hit, even 'shit paper… well clean shit paper… haha!' The man had a knack with his ideas, writing or verbally getting them down. He always found a way for them to be documented."

Dimebag Hardware is now featuring a small Dimebag swag collection headed towards a full-blown collection of street wear and accessories inspired by all of Dime's original drawings and designs. The collection, which combines the southern metal music lifestyle influences, with a ready wear feel, reaches fans of all ages and style.

Just like having his own language of "Dimebonics," he also had many elements in this world that related to him and that he called his own! Dimebag Hardware will stick to those elements to make sure his clothing doesn't just relate to those who are rebellious to the trends, the metalheads and rockers, or just the ones looking for something different, but for those looking for comfort and practicality too!
